In the name of Allah the most merciful, the one whose mercy reaches everything and everywhere, to proceed:
It is unanimously agreed upon by the people of knowledge – those who dedicated their lives to seeking knowledge – that the only way pure Islamic knowledge can be attained is by going back to the basics and studying as well as memorizing what is known as Al-Mutoon Al-Ilmiyya. These are concise and comprehensive treatises that summarize a particular science. Unfortunately many Muslims nowadays think that knowledge can be attained systematically by going to a conference once a year (although this is better than nothing) or listening to random youtube lectures without verifying the authenticity of the information that is being conveyed to them. Others pick and choose who they listen to and the only speakers they listen to are those who make them laugh or tell them fabricated tales and stories that have no basis in the book and sunnah.
For this reason, the curriculum at Ibnsabeel Islamic Institute & Research Centre is based upon these scholarly Mutoon knowing full well that the only people that will truly benefit from these type of books are those that are looking for sound and pure Islamic knowledge that has not been distorted or changed. These Mutoon are a blessing for real students of knowledge who are not looking for “entertainment” or “fame” but are only seeking the pleasure of their lord. We encourage you to benefit from this curriculum and to be patient and steadfast upon the path of knowledge. The explanations of these Mutoon will be uploaded in due course inshAllah so that our online community can benefit as well as our students on campus. Our success and guidance is through Allah alone, upon him we have relied and to him we shall return.
